Designed to provide very fine atomization and smooth, efficient application of very low-viscosity coatings, our 3M™ Accuspray™ Atomizing Head 1.2 mm is part of the complete Accuspray™ ONE system for the application of waterborne and solvent basecoat paints in thin clear coats in collision repair. This atomizing head is also ideal for the application of stains, varnishes, mold release agents, aerospace and marine top coats, wood coatings and other fluids requiring very fine atomization and an ultra-fine finish. The replaceable atomizing head is molded from a translucent plastic so technicians can easily see when the head is clean. A blue tint color aids in quick identification of the 1.2mm size. This atomizing head can be used on ANY Accuspray™ replaceable atomizing head spray gun.

Accuspray™ and Our 3M™ PPS™ System
Featuring a range of spray guns and replaceable atomizing heads, the Accuspray™ ONE System works in tandem with our 3M™ Paint Preparation System™, or PPS. This system for mixing and spraying solvent-based and waterborne materials eliminates the need for traditional mixing cups and paint strainers. Instead, paint and other materials are mixed and sprayed out of the same PPS liner with a lid and built-in filter. This system lets painters mix less paint, drastically reduce their solvent use, and spend less time cleaning spray guns and cups. All told, it can improve operator efficiency by as much as 15%.

With PPS™, paint can be mixed and sprayed out of the same 3M™ PPS™ cup and liner set. It's a cleaner, faster system that safe from outside contamination. Another key advantage of this closed system is that it enables the user’s spray gun to function at any angle, even upside down. That means less time spent repositioning. The liner, lid and built-in filter are all disposable, further reducing cleanup time.
